Megan Westbrook, NP, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, has a deeply compassionate and creative approach to mental health care. Megan's journey in healthcare began in Louisiana, where she earned her Associates in Registered Nursing from Panola College and an Associates in Telecommunications from Bossier Parish Community College. Her passion for providing specialized psychiatric care led her to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University.

Drawn to the field while working as an emergency room nurse in the greater Los Angeles area, Megan realized the pressing need for advanced practice nurses in psychiatric care. This realization was further fueled by personal experiences, having felt the impact of mental health challenges within her own family. Megan's approach to mental health is anchored in the belief that everyone has the capacity for resilience and change. She adopts a careful and considered approach to treatment, emphasizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and believing strongly in the power of the mind to transform thoughts, behaviors, and moods.

Megan describes herself as inspired, idealistic, compassionate, caring, creative, adventurous, and fun. She is committed to working collaboratively with her clients, providing them with the tools and insights needed to navigate their mental health journey. Her goal is simple yet profound: she wants her clients to feel better. Megan's practice is driven by a deep understanding that mental health is a lifelong journey. Her commitment to her clients is rooted in a desire to inspire and empower them, offering hope and practical strategies to manage and overcome their challenges.

Outside of her professional life, Megan is an avid musician, enjoying songwriting and playing the guitar. She also loves reading and stays active through regular workouts. This blend of creative and physical activities not only enriches her personal life but also brings a unique depth to her professional practice.
