Dr. Elizabeth Roberts, MD, is a dedicated and board-certified Psychiatrist, recognized by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. She is a highly esteemed professional with a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to her patients' well-being.

Born in New York, Dr. Elizabeth Roberts spent much of her upbringing overseas, predominantly in Asia, before returning to the United States during her high school years. Before embarking on her journey into medicine and psychiatry, she shared her knowledge and passion as a public school teacher.

Dr. Roberts pursued her medical studies at Rush Medical College in Chicago and then completed her psychiatric residency at Northwestern University. Dr. Roberts's unwavering dedication to her field is evident in her remarkable accomplishments, including the authorship of the enlightening book titled "Should You Medicate Your Child’s Mind?". She has been an influential advocate, testifying before the US Congress at a House Committee hearing on the damaging effects of mis-diagnosing and over-medicating children with psychiatric medications. Her appearances on prominent shows like The Oprah Show, The Today Show, ABC News in Chicago, CBS News Los Angeles, NBC News in San Francisco, and CNN have further solidified her reputation as an expert in the field.

In her practice, Dr. Elizabeth Roberts places great emphasis on adhering to her oath as a doctor to "at least do no harm." She is committed to ensuring her patients receive treatment that prioritizes their safety and well-being. Recognizing that medication may not always be the best course of action, she actively encourages her patients to explore non-pharmaceutical approaches to enhance their mental health, whenever possible.

Outside her professional commitments, Dr. Roberts cherishes spending time with her family, finding joy and balance in the company of her loved ones. Moreover, she has a passion for ballroom dancing, finding expression and fulfillment on the dance floor.
