Christina Lombardi is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides warm, compassionate, and individualized care. Genuine and down-to-earth, Christina strives to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. She believes meaningful mental health care begins with developing a trusting relationship and taking the time to understand the person beyond what may be visible on the surface.

Christina grew up on Long Island, New York, while also spending a significant part of her life in Florida. Her interest in healthcare was influenced early on by her mother and other women in her family who built careers caring for others. Their dedication left a lasting impression on Christina and helped inspire her own path toward a career in healthcare.

Christina earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Suffolk County Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. Her growing interest in mental health led her to earn a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. She later completed her Master of Science in Nursing with specialized training as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of St. Augustine. Her education in both nursing and counseling provides a foundation for understanding the relationship between emotional well-being, physical health, life experiences, and relationships.

Christina's passion for mental health was further shaped by her professional experiences working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including those experiencing co-occurring mental health concerns. These experiences gave her a deeper appreciation for the complexities of mental health and demonstrated the meaningful difference compassionate, individualized support can make in someone's life. As her career evolved, she became increasingly drawn to bringing her interests in mental health and healthcare together.

Christina takes a compassionate, collaborative, and individualized approach to care. She incorporates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while recognizing that no two people or journeys are exactly alike. She seeks to understand each client's experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals and works alongside them to develop healthier coping skills, build confidence, and make meaningful progress in their everyday lives.

What continues to inspire Christina is the opportunity to support people through difficult periods and witness their growth, healing, and renewed sense of hope. She believes clients should never feel that they have to navigate their struggles alone. Her goal is to help people recognize their own strengths while providing a supportive space where they can work through challenges at a pace that feels right for them. One of her favorite reminders captures this philosophy: “You can't stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf.”

Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending quality time with her family and beloved pets. She values maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle and enjoys working out, cooking and experimenting with new recipes, going to the movies, walking in the park, discovering new restaurants, and reading. Naturally curious and motivated, she also enjoys continuing to learn and staying current with new developments both personally and professionally.
