Andrietta Wright Barnett is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about helping individuals achieve greater emotional wellness and live healthier, more fulfilling lives. With a calm, thoughtful, and compassionate approach, she creates a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.
Andrietta's desire to help others was inspired early in life by watching her mother find joy and purpose in caring for and supporting those around her. That example sparked a lifelong commitment to serving others and ultimately led her to a career in nursing and mental health care. What continues to motivate her today is the resilience of the people she serves and their dedication to achieving optimal health and well-being.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. She went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Education from South University, followed by a Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Massachusetts. Driven by a desire to further expand her expertise, Andrietta earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Walden University and later completed her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate at the University of South Carolina.
Andrietta describes herself as relaxed, quiet, and naturally curious. She values learning and takes a thoughtful, research-oriented approach to understanding each client's unique experiences and concerns. She believes that one of the most important aspects of care is truly listening. By actively listening and taking the time to understand her clients' goals, challenges, and strengths, she works collaboratively with them to help foster meaningful and lasting change.
She understands that every individual's journey is different and believes that compassionate, personalized care can make a profound difference in a person's overall well-being. Her goal is to provide a welcoming space where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and confident in taking steps toward positive change.
When she isn't working, Andrietta enjoys traveling and exploring different parts of the world. Experiencing new places and cultures allows her to broaden her perspective and brings a sense of balance and joy to her life, which she carries into her work with the individuals she serves.
