Dr. Ariana Koster is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who is passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and build resilience. Raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, she grew up in a community that valued education, intellectual curiosity, and compassionate healthcare. Surrounded by a culture of innovation and service, she developed an early interest in medicine and mental health that would ultimately shape her career.
Dr. Koster earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Tulane University before completing her medical degree at Tulane School of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency training in Psychiatry through the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Tulane University School of Medicine. Her academic background and lifelong fascination with human behavior continue to inform her thoughtful and patient-centered approach to care.
Dr. Koster describes herself as empathetic, curious, and creative. She believes that meaningful progress begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to share their experiences openly. What drew Dr. Koster to psychiatry was a deep interest in the complexities of the human mind and the profound impact mental health has on overall well-being. Her desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives led her to pursue a career dedicated to supporting individuals through difficult moments, promoting understanding, and helping clients move toward their personal goals. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Koster enjoys exploring creative and cultural pursuits that enrich her understanding of the world. She has a deep appreciation for art and enjoys discovering different forms of artistic expression and the connections they create. She is also an avid reader who enjoys everything from psychology and personal growth literature to fiction that offers new perspectives on the human experience. In addition, she loves traveling and experiencing different cultures, finding inspiration in the diverse people, traditions, and viewpoints she encounters along the way.
