Dr. Avinash Puchalapalli is a Psychiatrist who believes that a strong physician-patient relationship is the foundation of meaningful growth and lasting change. Born in India and raised in Indiana, Dr. Puchalapalli brings both personal and professional insight to his work. Having witnessed the impact of mental health challenges among family, friends, and within his own life experiences, he understands the importance of compassionate, individualized care. He has also observed the growing acceptance and understanding of mental health over time, which continues to inspire his dedication to helping others improve their well-being.

Dr. Puchalapalli earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College. Throughout his training and clinical experience, he developed a deep appreciation for psychiatry because of its unique emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. He values the opportunity to build rapport with clients, understand their individual experiences, and work together toward meaningful goals.

His approach is grounded in evidence-based practices while remaining flexible to the unique needs of each individual. Dr. Puchalapalli believes that successful treatment is a team effort centered around collaboration between clinician and client. He strives to provide thoughtful guidance and recommendations while ensuring that clients play an active role in shaping their treatment plan. Known for being rigorous, empathetic, and adaptable, he works to meet clients where they are and help them navigate challenges with confidence and clarity.

Dr. Puchalapalli has received training in psychotherapy approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and continues to strengthen these skills through ongoing professional development. He values integrating evidence-based therapeutic techniques into his clinical work and believes that continuous learning is essential to providing high-quality care.

Outside of work, Dr. Puchalapalli enjoys cooking, exploring astrophysics, and engaging in the teaching-learning process. He values lifelong learning and enjoys sharing knowledge with others while continuously expanding his own understanding of the world around him.
