Dr. Caroline Tisot, PhD is a Licensed Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Passionate, curious, open, and accepting, she brings a grounded, human approach to her work and believes deeply in the healing power of compassion, respect, and understanding. She meets clients exactly where they are, listening closely and honoring their unique stories, values, and lived experiences.

Dr. Tisot earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Temple University and her MSEd in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania. Her professional journey began with a different kind of performance—she holds a master’s degree in piano performance and spent years as a classical pianist and teacher. This background sparked a fascination with the psychological aspects of learning, performance anxiety, perfectionism, and emotional resilience. Her own experience navigating these challenges fueled her desire to better understand human behavior and help others do the same.

Growing up in a small South Jersey town, Dr. Tisot often felt like an outsider. Academically gifted and musically passionate, she struggled to find her place among her peers and was no stranger to the pain of bullying. These early life experiences gave her a deep sensitivity to the struggles of others and a lasting belief that we are all doing the best we can, given our circumstances.

In her practice today, Dr. Tisot integrates evidence-based treatments with an authentic, relational style. She has studied Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) extensively and finds joy in leading DBT skills groups, supporting clients in building emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. She also incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), helping clients clarify their values, lean into discomfort, and move toward more fulfilling lives.

Dr. Tisot considers it a true privilege to support clients on their journey toward healing, growth, and self-acceptance. What keeps her going is the honor of bearing witness to people’s resilience, insight, and transformation—and the quiet knowledge that her work helps others live more meaningful, satisfying lives.

When she’s not working, Dr. Tisot enjoys being active—working out, riding her bike, and spending time at the beach. She cherishes time with her husband and their beloved French Bulldog, Little Debbie, as well as any opportunity to connect with her two grown daughters when their busy lives allow.
