Jennifer Seay is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides kind, understanding, and individualized care. A compassionate listener, Jennifer strives to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, supported, and confident that they have someone willing to take the time to understand what they are experiencing.
Jennifer grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and loved visiting the city, where she was drawn to its energy and the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and walks of life. Those experiences helped foster her natural interest in connecting with others and ultimately contributed to her decision to pursue a career centered on helping people.
Jennifer earned her Master of Science in Nursing with specialized training as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her passion for mental health care also grew from a deeply personal experience. When her son was diagnosed with autism, Jennifer quickly became aware of how challenging it can be for individuals and families to find the mental health resources and support they need. Navigating those challenges strengthened her desire to become a knowledgeable and dependable resource for others.
Jennifer believes one of the most important things she can offer a client is the willingness to truly listen. She understands that reaching out for support can be difficult and wants clients to know that their concerns deserve time, attention, and understanding. Rather than approaching someone with judgment or assumptions, she works to understand their individual experiences and help them identify a path forward that feels manageable and meaningful.
Her approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients explore the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through collaboration and practical strategies, Jennifer works with clients to recognize patterns, develop healthier ways of responding to challenges, and build skills that can support greater well-being in everyday life.
What continues to motivate Jennifer is her passion for helping people live fuller, healthier lives. She wants clients to feel supported through difficult periods and to recognize that challenges do not have to define their future. Above all, she hopes to provide reassurance, encouragement, and a sense that they do not have to navigate those challenges alone.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys cooking, watching movies, spending time outdoors, and being with her family.
