Treana Peavy is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, collaborative, and individualized care. Dependable and approachable, Treana strives to create an environment where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their concerns without fear of judgment.
Treana grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she developed a strong appreciation for hard work, compassion, and community. Naturally drawn to helping and supporting others, she pursued a career in nursing, where she discovered how meaningful it could be to build relationships with clients and support them through challenging periods in their lives. As her career progressed, her experiences in nursing and behavioral health deepened her interest in the connection between mental health, overall well-being, and quality of life, ultimately leading her to specialize as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Treana earned her Master of Science in Nursing and is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her nursing background has shaped her belief that high-quality mental health care begins with understanding the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Treana's approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and evidence-based. She takes time to understand each client's concerns, circumstances, strengths, and goals and works alongside them to determine what meaningful progress looks like in their life. She incorporates principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based strategies when appropriate, helping clients develop practical coping skills, strengthen their functioning, and work toward sustainable improvements in their mental health and overall quality of life.
Building trust is especially important to Treana. She believes clients should feel informed and actively involved in their care rather than feeling that decisions are simply being made for them. Through open communication, education, and shared decision-making, she works to create a partnership where clients feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and identifying goals that are personally meaningful.
What continues to inspire Treana is witnessing the positive impact that meaningful mental health support can have on a person's life. She finds it rewarding to see clients feel heard, develop effective ways of navigating challenges, and make progress toward becoming healthier and more confident in their everyday lives. She also values the continually evolving nature of behavioral health and remains committed to learning and growing as a clinician.
Outside of work, Treana enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, and finding opportunities to relax and recharge. She also enjoys staying active and continuing to learn and grow both personally and professionally. Maintaining a healthy balance between her career and personal life is important to her.
