Tvine Garabedian-Haddad is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based care. Dedicated, approachable, and understanding, Tvine strives to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their experiences, expressing their concerns, and actively participating in their care. She believes that meaningful mental health support begins with building trust, listening without judgment, and recognizing each person's unique needs and goals.
Born and raised in California, Tvine developed a passion for helping others from an early age. Naturally caring and compassionate, she was drawn to healthcare because she wanted a career that would allow her to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Her experiences throughout nursing strengthened that commitment and deepened her appreciation for the connection between physical health, emotional well-being, and quality of life.
Tvine earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating magna cum laude, before pursuing advanced education in psychiatric mental health. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health and subsequently earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from West Coast University. She holds national board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and maintains professional certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Before specializing in psychiatric mental health care, Tvine gained valuable experience working in the intensive care unit (ICU), where she supported individuals facing complex medical challenges. Working closely with patients during vulnerable and often stressful circumstances helped her recognize that emotional and psychological concerns can be just as significant as physical health conditions. She observed how fear, uncertainty, and emotional distress could affect patients and their families, reinforcing her belief in the importance of caring for the whole person.
These experiences inspired Tvine to pursue psychiatric mental health nursing, allowing her to focus more directly on supporting individuals through emotional and psychological challenges. She became passionate about helping people feel understood, develop greater confidence, and access the compassionate support they need to improve their overall well-being.
Tvine's approach to care is patient-centered, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. She recognizes that every individual brings a unique combination of experiences, circumstances, concerns, and goals, and she believes care should be tailored accordingly. Her approach incorporates principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and lifestyle-focused strategies to support meaningful improvements in mental health and daily functioning.
Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is central to Tvine's philosophy. She understands that discussing mental health concerns can feel uncomfortable or overwhelming, particularly for individuals who may be seeking support for the first time. She works to create a safe and respectful environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their experiences, and expressing their preferences without fear of judgment.
Tvine strongly values collaboration and believes clients should be actively involved in decisions about their care. She takes time to understand what matters most to each individual and works with them to establish realistic goals that support their emotional well-being, personal growth, and long-term mental wellness. Her goal is not simply to address immediate concerns, but to help clients build confidence, strengthen their coping skills, and experience lasting improvements in their quality of life.
What continues to inspire Tvine is the opportunity to make a positive difference in someone's life. She finds it especially rewarding to witness clients regain confidence, experience meaningful progress, and begin to feel more hopeful about their future. These moments reinforce her dedication to providing compassionate care and supporting individuals as they work toward becoming the best version of themselves.
Outside of work, Tvine enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her son. She loves traveling, exploring new places, discovering restaurants, and creating meaningful memories with loved ones. Family is an important part of her life, and she values maintaining a healthy balance between her professional responsibilities and personal well-being.
