Dr. Alani Mason-Callaway, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist committed to helping individuals harness their unique strengths to grow, heal, and thrive. Perceptive, curious, and creative by nature, she welcomes the opportunity to work collaboratively with clients, incorporating their passions and interests—whether artistic, academic, or otherwise—into a therapeutic process that is both empowering and personalized.
Dr. Mason-Callaway holds a Doctorate and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College and an additional Master’s in Psychology from American University. Her academic journey began with a fascination for music and language, particularly how these shape the developing brain. That curiosity, sparked in adolescence, evolved into a deeper interest in how the human mind adapts to experience—mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Her clinical work is rooted in a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of every individual. Dr. Mason-Callaway has a special interest in working with neurodiverse children, adolescents, and young adults. She finds great fulfillment in supporting these individuals as they explore their inner world, build adaptive skills, and pursue meaningful personal goals. Whether navigating grief, identity development, or social-emotional challenges, she creates a safe, engaging space for clients to grow at their own pace.
With a background in musical theatre and a lifelong love of language, Dr. Mason-Callaway understands the power of creativity in expression and healing. She often draws on clients’ own creative outlets—such as music, movement, or storytelling—as meaningful tools for insight and transformation. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and strengths-based, always focused on helping clients connect with their inner resources to face challenges with resilience and authenticity.
When she isn’t working, Dr. Mason-Callaway enjoys playing instruments (particularly the flute and drums), baking, studying languages like Spanish and Hebrew, and designing board games. She continues to embrace storytelling through song and dance, and remains passionate about the intersection of creativity, psychology, and growth.
