Lisa Debrier is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who is passionate about helping individuals discover hope, resilience, and healing. Growing up in Riverside, California, Lisa's own life experiences shaped her deep understanding of the impact that emotional struggles can have on individuals and families. These experiences inspired her commitment to supporting others as they navigate life's challenges and work toward lasting wellness.
Lisa earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Excelsior University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loma Linda University, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University. She is Board Certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner across the lifespan through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Lisa was first drawn to the mental health field after witnessing the challenges a close friend faced while living with bipolar disorder. Seeing how mental illness affected every aspect of her friend's life sparked a desire to better understand mental health and to help others find the support they deserve. Today, that passion continues to motivate her work and reinforces her belief that every person deserves compassion, encouragement, and the opportunity to thrive.
Lisa believes that reaching out for help is an act of courage and a powerful first step toward healing. She strives to build trusting therapeutic relationships where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Rather than focusing solely on challenges, Lisa works collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, reframe difficult situations, and develop practical coping strategies that support long-term emotional well-being. She encourages mindfulness, self-care, and healthy lifestyle practices while helping clients build confidence in their ability to navigate life's obstacles.
Lisa enjoys working with preteens, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, adjustment disorders, and life transitions. She is especially passionate about supporting young people facing bullying, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community, believing that every individual deserves a safe, affirming space to be understood and supported.
Known for her compassionate, caring, and resilient nature, Lisa brings warmth, empathy, and genuine encouragement to every client interaction. She believes that recovery is possible and is committed to helping individuals find hope—even during life's most difficult seasons.
When she isn't working, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, Phil, their daughter, Robin, and their beloved dogs, Raider the Husky and Milo the Maltipoo. She also loves trying new restaurants—especially sushi, Mexican, Italian, and Mediterranean cuisine—solving word searches, and FaceTiming with her granddaughters. She and her husband are active members of their local church and value spending meaningful time with family and loved ones.
