Yanna Wills is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, authentic, and nonjudgmental care. Grounded and thoughtful in her approach, Yanna strives to create a space where clients can speak openly about what they are experiencing, feel genuinely heard, and recognize the strength they already possess.
Yanna grew up in New York and, like many children, initially viewed the world through the belief that the people around her were generally happy and unaffected by life's challenges. As she grew older, she began to recognize that people often carry struggles that are not visible to others, sometimes hiding behind smiles while quietly navigating uncertainty, pain, or difficult circumstances. When people began trusting her with their stories, Yanna developed a deeper appreciation for how much can exist beneath the surface and how important it is to have someone willing to listen without judgment.
Yanna's nursing career has taken her through multiple levels of the profession, beginning as a Licensed Practical Nurse before becoming a Registered Nurse and ultimately a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capella University and her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from Wilkes University. Her extensive hands-on experience across a variety of healthcare settings has given her a strong foundation in both physical and mental health, as well as an appreciation for caring for people throughout different stages of life.
Yanna was drawn to mental health care by a desire to help people navigate challenges, particularly those who may not have a strong support system. She is passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and believes open, informed conversations can challenge bias, build understanding, and make it easier for people to seek support when they need it. She aims to make those conversations feel approachable and free from judgment.
Central to Yanna's philosophy is the belief that being a clinician does not place her above the people she serves. She recognizes that challenges, uncertainty, change, and growth are part of being human. Rather than positioning herself as someone with all the answers, she strives to sit alongside her clients, listen carefully, and help them make sense of their experiences.
What continues to inspire Yanna is seeing people discover strengths within themselves that they may not have recognized before. She believes every person's story is unique and that, when we take the time to truly listen, there is often something meaningful behind what a person is experiencing. Her goal is to help clients feel comfortable sharing that story and supported as they determine what moving forward looks like for them.
Outside of work, Yanna values spending time with her family as well as finding moments of quiet for herself. She appreciates the importance of creating balance in everyday life and making
