Jacqueline Palmer is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner who is committed to providing compassionate, individualized mental health care. Her experiences growing up taught her the importance of resilience, compassion, and having someone who truly listens. These values inspired her career in healthcare and continue to shape the way she supports her clients today.
Jacqueline earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. She holds national certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Throughout her career, she became increasingly interested in the close connection between physical and emotional health and was drawn to psychiatric care because of the profound influence emotional well-being can have on a person’s health, relationships, daily functioning, and overall quality of life.
Jacqueline believes effective mental health care begins with listening. She understands that reaching out for support can feel difficult and wants each client to know that they will be heard, respected, and treated without judgment. Her approach is compassionate, approachable, and collaborative, and she takes the time to understand each person’s concerns, experiences, needs, and goals.
Jacqueline does not believe mental health care should feel rushed or impersonal. She works alongside her clients to understand what they are experiencing, explore the factors affecting their well-being, and develop a treatment plan that feels comfortable, realistic, and individualized. She strives to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can speak openly, gain insight, strengthen their resilience, and develop healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges.
Described as understanding, dependable, nonjudgmental, and genuine, Jacqueline values the relationships she builds with her clients. Seeing people regain hope, recognize their progress, improve their quality of life, and begin feeling more like themselves is what keeps her passionate about this work. She considers it a privilege to support clients as they move toward greater emotional well-being and meaningful, lasting change.
Outside of work, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and finding opportunities to relax and recharge. She believes maintaining balance in her own life helps her bring positive energy, focus, and presence to the people she cares for.
