Holrite Alcy is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Originally from Haiti, her early experiences witnessing the impact of untreated mental health conditions inspired a lifelong commitment to helping others navigate emotional challenges with compassion and dignity.
Holrite earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from St. Thomas University. Her diverse nursing background includes experience in medical-surgical telemetry, progressive care, orthopedics, oncology, and behavioral health, providing care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Holrite believes that meaningful healing begins with trust and genuine human connection. She understands that every person's experiences, goals, and challenges are unique, and she takes the time to truly listen without judgment. Her collaborative approach encourages clients to actively participate in their care while developing practical strategies that promote resilience, emotional well-being, and lasting personal growth.
Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy, Holrite tailors care to each individual's unique needs and cultural background. She believes in treating the whole person by considering the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health. Her goal is to help clients build healthy coping skills, strengthen self-confidence, and create meaningful, lasting improvements in their lives.
Holrite describes herself as compassionate, empathetic, dedicated, and resilient. She is deeply motivated by the opportunity to walk alongside clients during some of life's most difficult moments and finds great fulfillment in seeing individuals regain hope, strengthen relationships, and move toward the lives they want to build.
Outside of work, Holrite enjoys exercising to support both her physical and mental well-being. She also loves traveling, experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, and exploring new places. Spending quality time with family and friends is especially important to her, helping her maintain balance and bring renewed energy and compassion to the clients she serves.
